A child participating in the activities of rehabilitation
The proposed project is fully integrated in the national plan for the resilience and the response to the Syrian crisis (JRP – Jordan Response Plan), which seeks to mitigate the medium-long term consequences of the Syrian crisis on Jordan.
Jordan is among the countries in the region that hosts the higher number of refugees, not only of Syrian origin. For this reason, Jordan seeks since a long time to ensure an adequate level of health services to its citizens as well as to refugees. However, the resilience of the national health system is being increasingly challenged by the shortage of resources and the perpetration of the crisis.
In this context, the general objective of the action is to contribute to the resilience of the Jordanian health system and the Jordanian host communities in relation to the influx of Syrian refugees.
More specifically, the objective is to improve the responsiveness of Jordanian health centers for disabled persons in relation to the provision of prostheses, orthoses and aids, and rehabilitation of men, women and children with disabilities.
