On October 22nd, 2021, a meeting was held at Carthage Thalasso between ICU and its partners – AVFA and APIA – within the framework of the project “ProAgro: Support to the development of sustainable agri-food micro-enterprises and creation of employment opportunities in disadvantaged areas of Tunisia”. The project is co-funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and Principality of Monaco. The main objective of the workshop was to evaluate the applications collected under a call for expression of interest to select 85 young graduates with innovative ideas of start-up/commercial agencies in the following areas: dairy industry, vegetable crops, dates, aromatic and medicinal plants, and olive trees. The targeted locations are the governorates of Beja, Kasserine, Kebili, Le Kef, Mahdia and Sidi Bouzid.
Through the call, the selected 85 young graduates will have access to trainings on startup management and technical assistance activities, support to the development of their business plans, internship program as well as support to credit for their projects.
