Olive harvesting
Overview:
1) To promote the role of women in the villages of Halloussiyeh, Tayr Filsay, Sh’hour, Hmayreh, Bedias and Deir Qanoun-ennahr, in the South of Lebanon, by introducing appropriate technologies for harvesting, processing and preserving olives and by-products and providing training and technical assistance for marketing.
Activities:
– Technical assistance;
– development of a services facility for processing table olives.
Results:
-Olive production practices improved;
-Olive mechanical harvesting implemented;
